If anyone actually heard the original divas 1998 of testimony, Aretha was asking for help (you know to help her sing praises to the lord) and no one was coming forward. But then Mariah started it with an adlib of “JESUSSSS!” And that’s when Aretha came over there and they started to riff it on out a bit….but we can tell that Mariah was hoarse this night because I recall her saying so herself in an interview. But all in all, she really tried to help Aretha out and she was the bold one that started it first. Then of course Celine followed suit and we all know how that went down haha.
