I think best way to study candle stick shapes is checking a candle stick in higher Time frame and check back again in a lower Time frame. Then u will get the best idea of why these shapes are formed cristal clear

When the market open, buyer push to the highest, but seller able to push to the bottom (to the lowest), but then buyer managed to push back to the closing price. That's what happened.

The seller will not push the price lower.😊 They just want to get rid of the shares quickly. Price goes up because there are less shares to buy. It is the supply and demand causing the price fluctuations.

Since you said “market open” it’s safe to assume that the green candle printed instantly after market open, then sellers brought it down to the low of the day but the buyers picked it back up to the high of the day but then it got attacked by sellers again creating that wick at the top just for it to settle at the green candle that the market presumably opened at, am I understanding this correctly?

To idemtify a hammer use a fibb retracement the body should be btwn 0% and 23 % *valid hammer*

It all depends if it happens on top or bottom. If it is in top has a totally interpretation than if it happens at the bottom. And, if it happens in the top, it is not buy signal
