I’ve been designing and developing websites since 1999. A lot of these trends were popular back in the Macromedia Flash days (i miss those days). The fundamentalists stomped out all of these ‘experimental’ and fun styles. It’s rad to see them coming back.

Haha, I made the site at 0:28, cheers for the feature!

I do feel this video is leaning towards "design for designers" and not design for users. For instance: As the traffic to websites is at least 70% mobile, why do I just see the desktop?

I would love to see more 3D websites out there. The examples you showed genuinely looked so cool. It definitely creates challenges for web designers and creating "functional design" though.

I'm so glad I'm not a front end dev. These trends are mostly garbage invented by designers, to impress other designers. Very little of it is functional, very little of it even looks good...

The navigation is a big no for me. As a user, I need to be able to orientate myself quickly on the web. Some of these trends are really good but need to be used carefully. You still need to have people to purchase your product as fast as possible in most situations.

If they are trends, the design industry is in big trouble.

Great video! The trends for 2025 are really exciting, especially the focus on AI-driven design and minimalist approaches. I'm curious to see how accessibility will play a bigger role in web design moving forward. Looking forward to more updates on this!

Thank you! Browsing designs on Pinterest and Behance is tiring. Truly needed such a summary. Will browse your courses as well!

this video is really informative and well put together, great job! i gotta say though, while the trends are interesting, i’m not sure if some of them will really stand the test of time. like, the focus on minimalism seems to be everywhere, but doesn’t that risk making sites feel a bit too sterile? would love to hear what others think!

It’d be good to see mobile friendliness. A lot of websites get more traffic coming from the mobile.
