I found alder bushes cut down by beavers over the holiday out in the woods. Always find it amazing how they keep on chewing and chewing with their razor sharp teeth!!

I am disheartened thinking of people a few centuries ago eager to kill millions of these beautiful, industrious animals to make a buck - so gentlemen in England could wear fashionable hats. There is better understanding of the importance of animals now, at least in some quarters.
