I swear I thought I was shaving wrong the whole time, but turns out I've been doing it right!

I shave my head and face in all kinds of directions with a 5 blade. Still manage to overdo it sometimes and get bumps on my neck.

Look at how rough his facial skin is because of using that technique. His cheeks look like sandpaper. I rest my case.

This man is giving you shaving advice to cause ingrown hairs..

Depends on your hair and skin. That is a super easy way to get your face covered in red rashes due to ingrown hairs. Try it, if you get inflamation, never do it again.

I'll remember these tips when my asian facial hair finally grows a good amount in like 2 years.

Ok, but if I shave against the grain I get ingrown hairs, and the skin gets itchy/inflamed as hell. Is this not a universal thing?

Kinda NSFW -

I was like 13 and my friends dared me to shave my pubes. Not super hairy or anything. I shaved only against the grain. I had so many ingrown hairs around my penis. I don’t care who tells me what, I will never shave against the grain again.

Edit - also, his face looks bumpy. Idk about his method lol

the fact that you shave with the hair and you feel that it is rough is due to the fact that you cut the hair flush with the skin, if you shave against the grain, you raise it by cutting below, the skin is actually smooth then, but the ingrown hairs, cuts and pimples are for me convincing enough not to

I’ve always felt a closer shave when I went in all directions but it was time consuming

I always shaved with the grain because my skin didn't break out and get ingrown hairs if i did

I've never actually been told the "with grain" or "against grain" thing, thought it was just a thing on TV 😂 I just shave whichever way 😂

Everyone’s body is different if this way gives you ingrowns I’d consider an electric shaver there’s the type that pulls your hair and the type that cuts just like when you go to a barber and they are cutting your hair I suggest the barber type for longer hair and then just the puller type when you wanna get it a bit smoother. you can also get a nice shave with no ingrowns if you just don’t give a lot of pressure into a one blade safety razor just be careful and learn your face.
your entire body is like a finger print, completely unique, so not every technique is gonna work for your face take mistakes as a learning process and don’t just give up right away.
