My favorite era of pro wrestling: mid '85 to mid '88. Although JCP started to come unraveled toward the end of '87. Still amazing though!

By far better than WCW, ECW and WWE. NWA wrestling. Best ever!

Is it me or did Arn Anderson always look like he was 45?

Dr Death Steve Williams was a beast. Lifted Thompson 245 lbs twice like nothing.

None of these guys were ever at a loss for words. They always killed it.

I miss the WCW, that was real Wrestling and not a Child Theater like the WWE

Somewhere there is a Jobbers Walk of Fame, and George South has one of the biggest Stars on it.

I remember seeing this live on tv in Valdosta Georgia motel. I was going to Ft. Lauderdale Florida with my buddy for Christmas vacation and I had the time of my life! Ah, memories. 1987!

Ill take 1982-1988 over any other 6 years in any promotion, ever, that i know of. Been watching alot of Paul Jones as a wrestler in early eighties....highly entertaining but hes EVEN BETTER as a manager, a promoter of MEN. Number 1 indeed. WWE knows how the transitions of aging wrestlers like Heenan, Gary Hart, etc. added greatly to programmes so WHY o WHY is the best they can do an “advocate” and a lightweight in his prime who makes absolutely no sense as a manager? THANKS FOR THE POST u da man

I love how Arn was just easing on around to Michael Hayes. Love the horsemen

My hometown didn't get TBS till 1989, so this is new to me! Thanks for the upload, there was nothing better in wrestling than the 1980's NWA! I had forgotten the Flair / Hayes feud, so it's great to see here! Hands of Stone still is one of my all-time faves! Thumbs Up on the video, and I just Subscribed!

I loved the NWA but they had more title belts in pro wrestling....Everyone had a belt. World Championship..TV title..VCR heavyweight title...Cable TV title...Antenna TV title....hell I think even some of the Jobbers had title

When you go from being world champion, to being on the opening match teamed with Mighty Wilbur, you can rest assured that the back office has demoted you ! 😂

Zabysko would talk you into a wrestling move. He would say "throw urself to the ground" you'd be like "okay"

Looks like at this time Mike Rotunda ditched the airplane spin in favor of the double underhook suplex as a finisher. Kevin Sullivan's already in his corner, and this would be shortly before the Varsity Club would be formed. A few weeks later, Rotunda would win the tv title from Nikita.
