Honestly, as a player who is playing this exact position for my team I really do appreciate this video a lot. I learned more from this than I have done from any coach directing me whilst I play. Thank you so much, I really appreciate you making this video. I understand it's not easy to analyse and critique your own performance. You are a legend!

Great analysis like always. You would definitely be a fantastic coach. I hope it’s in your plan when you retire⚽️👊

I always played centre forward/winger. But cause of my finishing, my coach moved me to right back. It started with a wing back with 5 at the back to a real fullback. Even stating 11. It's actually the most fun I've ever had. Tackling, reading opponents runs and whipping crosses in, and finally facing the goal.

I don't know how much you train low whipped crosses and through balls as a final pass. Focusing on as much bend and pace to curve it around the defense. There are definitely opportunities for you to develop that skill in game and create good chemisty with da costa. All around you play very strong, just something to think about.

That interception at 3:39 was spectacular. I think your analysis was right, take the ball further and see what develops. When those things happen so soon into a game it can take you by surprise. But you gotta smell that goal, get into the penalty area and score : ). Edit: And at 4:58 on the game clock, I think no one would have a problem if you kept running and asked for a pass to take it into the penalty area. In my eyes when you have intercepted you deserve to take it all the way.

Matt, TYSM for the insight and vids man. Helping me a ton with coaching! QQ tho, and I've seen one of your older videos but could you please explain what Cancelo or Alexander-Arnold would have differently vs you in this game?>

Good game, I just think that your team isolated you too much on the right side. Nobody on the midfield popping up to play with you there, plus I just think that you could have made those connections with the attack to play a little more aggressive tho
Congrats on the analysis

I played my first training session at a new club as a RB and played quite well and got a goal too 👏

looks like it was a dirty game. I am glad that they recognized you as a threat - triple teamed in the final minutes! Also, there was a spot where you regretted not threading a pas but I think you made the right decision because there were too many black jerseys there to do it safely. One thing that makes me sad, is how many times you mention how this was good for that reason but then the next image is a whole other play which means a squandered opportunity by the team. i.e. that take down that happened near the end of the game seemed like a great opportunity for an equalizer. I wonder, do your teammates ever ask you to do these for them? I know it would be dangerous but then you do occasionally call them out anyway (whilst calling yourself out as well) so I would like to think some would appreciate it.
