Short term AirBNBs are going bust in NYC, and here’s why

Short term rentals are rentals for less than 30 days, and New York City is cracking down on them. Did you know it’s illegal to have a short term rental in New York State unless you have Class B (hotel) status? What are your thoughts on this? Fair? Not fair?

Airbnb has been putting a hurting on the hotel industry in New York City. The whole point is if I have a space that I pay for I should be able to invite whoever I want to stay there and if they pay me that’s in my business…. To be in a country that Sokol free seems to be a lot of regulations on what you can do with your own stuff. Meanwhile, rents are super high in the city and there’s no reform on that.
