Short term rentals are rentals for less than 30 days, and New York City is cracking down on them. Did you know it’s illegal to have a short term rental in New York State unless you have Class B (hotel) status? What are your thoughts on this? Fair? Not fair?

This is awesome news! I am so happy that states are finally getting a hand on this. Hopefully, it will add to the housing supply.

Good news! I hope every city, town and state does the same thing!

Airbnb has been putting a hurting on the hotel industry in New York City. The whole point is if I have a space that I pay for I should be able to invite whoever I want to stay there and if they pay me that’s in my business…. To be in a country that Sokol free seems to be a lot of regulations on what you can do with your own stuff. Meanwhile, rents are super high in the city and there’s no reform on that.

I despise people who have air b and b . I bought into a neighborhood not a hotel chain. You don't know who is renting next to you with the constant turnaround.

Do you know whether other states are taking or planning to take this same stance as NY? If so, which states?

And this is why more and more people are leaving Dem states. Too much regulation and BIG government in your pockets. #blackrepublicanallday
