They don't just claim 9gag is inferior, they CORRECTLY point out that they steal content and label it as originating from 9gag, they even falsify upload times, and this has been confirmed. Reddit even tested it out by upvoting certain test uploads like images saying "9gag steals content" and acting as though it's a funny picture. and of course 9gag bots stole it and uploaded it to their site, putting their watermark and changing the upload time to before the image even EXISTED. so it's been proven that they steal content from other sites to pass it off as their own.

4chan hates 9gag, alright, but for very good reason, and they aren't the only ones, reddit does too and they aren't exactly buddies with 4chan. people don't hate them just because their site is inferior. they hate 9gag because they steal people's content to make money.
