I must have listened to this ten times today in my car. Great job. I love the way you have woven an alternate take into the original. Doubling up the Jordainaires and Floyd. I just love it, especially on such a delicate vocal by Elvis. This really shines. It breathes new life into a song I've listened to all my life. Thank you

Fans of Elvis refer to the Sun years and those mid 50s singles as prime Elvis. But often ignored is Elvis Is Back years of the early 60s. That was really when Elvis hit his peak as a singer vocally. No one could whoop E on vocals there for about 3-4 yrs. Dont ignore those early 60s yrs before the schlock movie songs took over.

Remember this well as the B side to ‘Good Luck Charm’, which was bought at the local record shop, and you take it home and find this pure country gem on the flip side. Top class Nashville sessions musicians and that lilting piano, which could only be Floyd Cramer, and the pure class backing vocals by the Jordanaires.
Good headphones choice by the way Pat; the SR80X is reported as the best sound value to price in the Grado range. Have the SR325E for ages, nice clear sound. When I was buying the Grado Wireless in Audio Emotion in Glenrothes I got the chance to listen to the Audeze LCD4, which retails at £3, 800 - wow!
