MVG needs to cover the leak of the 700+ PS2 prototype games from last week.

When I was a kid my dad installed a mod chip and he just never told us. My mom would take me to our local blockbuster type store to rent games. My dad would copy them and we would return the originals the next day. I never understood why my games wouldn't work on friend's systems until like over a decade later when he finally told me. He accidentally made a nice memory into a cool story lol.

In case anyone missed it, a similar swap trick was found in 'Alien: Resurrection' recently that doesn't require any mem card code, or mod chips. Just a small in-game cheat code the devs added for early testing and never removed and didn't report to sony.

Tony Hawk: I'm about to do what's called a "Pro Skater Move"...

I haven't owned a PS1 in years, but I still wanted to watch just to support - this is honestly great, reminds me of the old Splinter Cell xbox mod! :D

I remember using the swap trick on the original SCPH-1001 and was in awe when it first worked. I got so good at it that I could determine 1x and 2x first by ear alone then by timing LOL. Those were pretty primitive days.

Funny bit about Argentina is that apparently there wasn't a PSOne to be found without a modchip unless you went to the very big retailers (who gave up on selling it as everyone used the chipped ones).

For anyone with a Playstation with an I/O port on the back, getting a Gameshark and softmodding it provides a much simpler and smoother experience for playing backup games. If you have that option, you should go the Gameshark route over this method. For anyone whose Playstation does not have an I/O port, this is is a gamechanger.

5:50 That text in Spanish is hilarious LOL It's some of the jokes that a humorist called "Chiquito de la Calzada" (he's dead btw) used to say on his shows haha! Whoever made this exploit, is a fan of him for sure XD

My inner kid is incredibly excited by this. Imagine having this back in the 90's.

Great to see that the community still keeps on investigating and "enhancing" these old consoles, reminds me of the Sega Saturn hack...Took decades to get copies running on it. Thanks for this great upload... Loving your channel! Greetings from Germany.

Really cool that this has finally come around. Leaving comment just to boost your channel engagement for the algorithm, you deserve it.
