The majority of people assume that a rabbit and a hare are the same thing. This is not the case. They are, in fact, two distinct species. The two even have very distinct appearances. They might be called cousins, but they are not. There are some apparent and some not-so-obvious distinctions between the two.

I think I saw a hare run past me last week. It was extremely fast and large.

Rabbits can/can't breed with hares - 3:52 and 4:42 contradict each other.

When I was a kid I though that hares where the males and rabbits where the females. Who else?
