My family came to England when l was 7. Joined the British army as a junior at 15, served for 12years, RE finally 59 Commando. Then emigrated to Australia.
I have some British traits, loved the British army, l felt British when serving, but l can’t be called British. l am Scandinavian (Norwegian).
But l am totally shocked and disappointed how the British way of life has been eroded, it saddens me.

As an immigrant myself, I'll say that if someone is not of Celtic or Anglo Saxon heritage, they can still fit in as Brits if they are at least well integrated into society, something which even a lot of second generation immigrants fail to do as they grow up in parallel communities and never interact with the native population.
