Amazing. Look at how Nixon was respected by Clinton because of his sincere non partisan desire to advise Clinton for the good of the World. Kudos to Clinton for listening.

Nice to see a Democrat respecting a Republican. How times have changed.

I may not be an American but I always viewed Nixon as a smart leader, who above all the other things wished for the peace and prosperous world. His legacy will never be forgotten.

Yes. He truly loved his country, and he was cultivated & educated about so very many aspects of our great nation. He was a pillar.

We lost a real one 30 years ago. He was without a doubt one of the best foreign policy presidents we've ever had.

Whatever one thinks of his politics, he was several cuts above everyone else.

Already 30 years ago of death, he was still a great man despite being the only president ever to resign the office.

Thank you, President Nixon. Continue resting in peace. 🌹

I was only 18 days old on this day, and the irony of that is this...Richard Nixon is one of my favorite Presidents of all Time, and yet our lives only shared the earth for 18 days. Remarkable how history never dies.

Times sure have changed. Although Nixon was the only President in US history to resign amid scandal, the Democrat President Clinton delivered a warm public eulogy. If we should have the misfortune to be under another Democrat at the time of the death of Trump, it is almost impossible to imagine any of them saying anything so kind. What were once political adversaries have become in our day enemies. Not without reason, but it is sad.

All day long, I felt an emptiness, which I could not identify. Then I saw the date and knew. How I wish there was someone with his intellect, wisdom, and courage to lead this country. God bless Richard Nixon.❤

Bill Clinton said to me- when I thanked him for what he said at RN's funeral- that RN was a much better guy then he ever got credit for. Bill was right, and I thanked him sincerely for saying that.

Gotta respect Nixon's foreign policy chops... although, we still have that Communist China thing to straighten out...
All respect to the Explainer-In-Chief.

With regards to foreign policy and understanding the world and the world leaders, Nixon was one of the top 10 presidents of United States. His 1982 book "Leaders" remains a classic. This is also very much evident in Clinton's comments. It is problematic for the rest of the world, especially to Europe (where I live) that today the concept of foreign policy is seen by many US politicians as something almost negative.
