If you were Keanu Reeves character in the Matrix. Would you feel obligated to wake everyone up, or just let them all stay asleep in their pods like he did?

I've always felt that dreams are experiences of a life in a parallel universe.

Imagine when you die someone pulls off your vr glasses and asks "how was it?"

Then I hope I get woken up real soon because this is a nightmare

I have been taken to the future, it wasn’t a lucid dream, it was real and I vividly remember everything. I was in sleep paralysis when I woke up and really physically tired the next day. Yes it was exciting but also unnerving at the same time. People say I’m lying, but I know what happened their.

Low-key I think this is real. I feel like life is one big dream and when you wake up, you’re an entirely different person and you won’t even remember your current life at all.

I always thought that if dreams are somehow connected to a (next life) that we currently having, even if its fantasy or a sci-fi or plain weird, I always thought there is another world, but we just got a sneak peek of it, and that timeline it is currently on going, if we die we maybe transferred to another world, perhaps same world as we are now but different, we could be an opposite of our genders or different races, and we (woke up) when were conscious and we thought what we had just been killed or died from sickness or old age, was just a (bad dream) and we restart and forget about it.

Sorry for long post, but yeah it got me curious about it too I'm glad I'm the the only one

The best and sadist quote that came to my mind when thinking this question, is this question. “Then if I were to end my life here, would this nightmare be over”. Kinda something that came to mind, nothing serious.

I'm scared because in school someone said my life is a dream and said every one is dead and I thought it was real 💀

How do you know that death isn't the greatest thing that's ever gonna happen to you. When you actually die you dissolve into an ocean of infinite love. Death is equivalent to infinite love. Death is equivalent to infinite consciousness. Death is equivalent to God. Death is immortality. Death is paradise or heaven. So the biggest mindfuck of life is to discover that death is actually infinite love.

Well, one thing to consider is lucid dreaming. That is, to know that you're in a dream when the dream is taking place. There are many sources on the subject providing many different techniques on how to achieve lucidity. I've tried some basic techniques myself for a few months, and I've been able to achieve lucidity about one dream per week. The really cool thing about having a lucid dream is that you unlock "God mode" and basically you can do whatever you want, so long as you believe you can do it. With that in mind, we have over seven billion people on the planet, and since seemingly none of them have god-like powers, the chances are very slim that this is a dream. However, there are many different religions out there, and the general claim is that there are some selective few with powers above us mere mortals. So, going off the overwhelming majority of people who are bound to the laws of physics, this isn't a dream, and this is base reality. Or, maybe it's particularly difficult to attain lucidity in this specific dream, and there are few, and very far between, people who achieved lucidity and gained god-like powers. Either way, there's no definitive answer one way or another.

The weirdest thing about dreams is when we're having a dream.. we NEVER ask ourselves..🤔 Hmm how did this start?? Where was i before i wound up walking through this cornfield? How in the Hell did I get inside this yellow Submarine? We never ask.. we just proceed through the dream. But at least with me, there's always an undertone of something doesn't add up, not usually enough to wake me up. Its almost as if there is some sense of a continuity, A time line we are aware of in the dream, which makes the laws of physics defying, completely magical and impossible events make sense. Which makes me question how can we know waking reality isn't the same exact thing. Sitting here i can remember the important details of my life and what i was doing just before this.

Or can I?
