Silica gel is basically just fancy sand. Eating a little bit won't kill you, the worst that'll happen is a stomach ache. Otherwise it's just gonna go right through you unchanged.

I love seaweed, and one time in seventh grade I thought I was like, “YOLO 🤪” or something 💀 and I ate the silica gel and basically it has no taste or flavor but since it absorbs moisture, it will make your mouth SUPER dry if you don’t have a lot of water with it. If you have it in your mouth with a good amount of water, it fizzes and pops like forbidden pop rocks and kind of tastes carbonated.

So it’s not THAT big of a deal, but still maybe don’t eat it
