Y’know when I watched the lego movie for the 1st time, I thought it was actually lego stop-motion, only found out when watching this video that it was CGI. The amount of effort put into LM is amazing.

Let me get this straight: The protagonists are both underage when their parents tragically die... and 5 years later they are still living in the same house, which they can somehow afford, they apparently have no other relatives that raised them (uncle, aunt, grandparents?) but they were neither placed into an orphanage nor given a legal guardian by the government?

The Lego Movie's animation was so good that I genuinely thought it was stop motion until I watched this video. 10000% my favorite animated movie series from the past few years.

1. Two siblings are transferred into a Playmobil world
2. The plot jumps around like a washing machine with a brick inside it and the plot holes are patched with soggy bread
3. The siblings escape

I saw the ad for this at the movie theatre with my mom. I remember my mother said “What a rip-off of the Lego movie.” I mean, I owned three play mobile toys and a app. The app was super glitchy and buggy and only a closet I think remains and their heads could never quite stay on.

I'm literally dropping salty tears for the wasted talent of the animators. Unlike almost all trash animated movies, this one had great potential, the thing that ruined it was just the solid brick writers that's all.

The plot of the kids' parents dying so early into the movie is a very heavy subject for kids. I remember watching it with my nephews, we didn't watch it to the end, the movie was way too fast-paced for us.
