This seems like a genius solution for aging in place - I live in an area where the basement is the most common location for laundry, and you will see all kinds of solutions to get first floor laundry where it was never intended to be (washer next to the range, dryer in a different room, stacked units in a guest bedroom, etc.) I can see this being a great solution for the 1-2 people households with accessibility needs.

Thanks! What about the Bosch induction cooktops and ovens?

I noticed this in both the 2022 and 2023 rankings: when the Cafe rages are highlighted, you mention a 30" 6 burner gas range but the image is of the 36" range. My two questions are: do you rate the 36" range highly in this category as well? and is the all gas, or duel fuel a better option? The majority of our oven use is baking rather than roasting or broiling - we probably do those things less than 5 times a year. thank you!

Purchased a Kitchen Aid dishwasher that was dead on arrival. Except my kitchen reno hadn't started so didn't know that until about 3 months later. It was fixed under warranty but this will definitely be my last appliance out of the Whirlpool family. I use to swear by them but everything that I've purchased from them during the past 15 years has been crap in my opinion.

It's an interesting way you pronounce Fisher Paykel. Fisher Paykel originated in New Zealand and it's said a little different. Great to see it doing well

I have seen a couple reviews on the more European sized Beko refrigerators having warm spots and not keeping correct (food safe) temps. Is this anything Yale Appliance has noticed?

What about Fulgor Milano? We have a dealer that services the brand locally, particularly interested in their Sofia duel fuel range.

The house we bought in 2009 came with Thermador appliances (minus Fridge, which we had to buy). Is this brand any good?

Yale Appliance/Steve: I’ve watched most of your videos and I really enjoy the content. Please, I need help making a decision. I live near Seattle, otherwise I’d come visit your store.

We are doing a kitchen renovation because to a water leak this past March. Finding a contractor has been a bit of a nightmare, but I think we are finally on track to get started in early 2023.

Middle class family with a modest home in the suburbs. We’ve got two daughters (2 year old and 4 year old), that keep us very busy.

We don’t need top of the line luxury, but want our appliances to be nice looking, simple to use, easy to clean/maintain, safe, and dependable.

I have it narrowed down to Bosch and GE Profile. I really like Fisher & Paykel, but they are a little pricier and I’m less confident in the availability of servicing that brand where we live.

We want a 30” induction range, an extra 30” single electric wall oven, a standard 24” dishwasher that has good capacity and cleans well, and a fridge with lots of space that can handle up to 4 gallons of milk at a time.

I don’t really care about fancy high tech gizmos, but if something has practical, easy to learn/use features, that’s a bonus. We aren’t gourmet cooks, mostly just simple family meals; casseroles, chicken nuggets, spaghetti, tacos, an occasional roast…you get the idea.

By my calculations, the GE Profile kitchen would come in about $2-$3k less and seems to have a few more features. However, the Bosch kitchen somehow seems to be regarded by many as just a little more “high end” with a more consistent history of reliability. But on the other hand, your videos and multiple online reviews seem to give a lot of praise to GE over the past few years with very good reliability scores.

Anyways, I’ve been going back and forth like this in my head all month and just need a nudge in the right direction so I can make a decision. If availability is not an issue, which brand would you suggest?

I am just not a fan of all these features I think it’s over engineering just like all the cars now more stuff to break just find me a simple well made appliance with some decent features I don’t need my dishwasher contacting me on my cellphone.

After spending over 12k on Samsung appliances 8 years ago, I am shocked to see you have their French door refrigerator on here so high up (or on this list at all). This fridge is the worst fridge I have ever owned, the ice maker was replaced twice due to the known sealing issue before, after 5 years or having to scrape out the ice maker every month, they finally gave me a prorated refund. This was the worst appliance ever but their dishwasher lasted about 4 years before the flashy wash bar thing at the bottom broke, and the electonic board of the double wall oven had to be replaced in the first 5 years. Now I will not only npt consider Samsung appliances but I will completely eliminate anyone who does recommend them from consideration of my next purchase.
