I have been told I have a bicuspid valve. I am 50 years of age. What symptoms do I need to look out for to inform my Cardiologist ( I am now being monitored after waiting a year to see a consultant). I had a medical just before my 50th and was told then that this condition. I am now down to 12.5st and have lost nearly 2 stone. I am 5ft 6in I regularly fast and go to my gym at least 2 - 4 times a week. I work shifts and start at 0215 and will easily do 12 hours a day. 4 - to 5 days a week From that alone I am tired and can feel pain everywhere - I am a fuel tanker driver. - My ECG said my aortic chamber is 4.4cm in diameter and will be a problem if it gets to 5cm and could explode (I was told that) - how do i reduce the size (if possible) - I know surgery is the only way to sort this out, how long do I put this off.
