Just to precise a point, continuity equation states that FLOW1 x SURFACE1 =FLOW2 x SURFACE2 . Our two entities are LVOT and AV. Here we measured LVOT as surface1 and the LVOT VTI gives us the FLOW 1 (through LVOT). With AV VTI we get FLOW2 (the flow through the Aortic valve). We get AVA (SURFACE2) by a rule of 3.

It's 0.785 multiplied by the (LVOT diameter by the power of two)
