NASA ANNOUNCES THE END OF ITS MARSQUAKE-HUNTING LANDER
NASA’s InSight lander dead by year’s end
NASA's InSight Still Hunting Marsquakes as Power Levels Diminish
NASA announced on May 17 that it expects the InSight lander mission to end this year. Dusty solar panels and darker skies are expected to bring the Mars lander mission to a close around the end of this year.
NASA’s InSight Mars lander is gradually losing power and is anticipated to end science operations later this summer. By December, InSight’s team expects the lander to have become inoperative, concluding a mission that has thus far detected more than 1,300 marsquakes – most recently, a magnitude 5 that occurred on May 4 – and located quake-prone regions of the Red Planet.

Can't we just borrow the Jetson's maid, Rosie the Robot to buzz on over for a dusting off?

A magnificent scientific acheivement. The lander is a very sucsessful complex price of machinery it's functions and data retrievals are second to none. But why oh why didn't the boffins install a dust blower for the solar panels.

Why didnt someone glue or bolt a large wallpaper paste sized wood or plastic handled brush on the arm? Because to me it looks like the attempt at saving a tiny amount of money has cost NASA half a billion dollars.

can't they get the Helicopter fly over it and blow some off?

So sad for this robotic Martian spacecraft

Why don’t they use a mechanism to clean off the solar panels from dust?
