As a new knitter with ADHD, thank you so much! It's been so hard to keep track of my rows but this helps a ton and got me back on track!!!

I just started learning to knit last night, after teaching myself to crochet last year, and this video is so helpful for learning the difference in stitch structure. Thank you!

I love your example of counting the garter stitch. It’s best when it’s kept simple.

I crochet and now I’m learning to knit. I was wondering how to count the rows too, lol. Thank you. 🤗

Thanks so much. I lost my place of the number of rows in my garter stitch section of a blanket I am knitting. I was wondering if anyone would have done a video on this. I am so grateful that you did!

thank you! also, this video made me realize that when the little tail from casting is on the same side as the rest of your garn means that there is an even number of rows!! life saver for "ohh.. did i count the last row?"

Hi Cheryl! This was interesting to me. When you had your swatch up, I was counting each garter ridge as two rows. So, not counting the cast on row and the row on the needles, I came up with 13. Because you are the professional with so many years of experience and I am only one year into knitting, I want to know if my method also works. Can you tell me if that is also a valid way of counting rows?

Thank you so much, this was so helpful. It seems like such a simple concept but I have really struggled with counting rows.

Another great video. Always wondered if I was counting those rows correctly and I surely wasn’t. Haha. Love it!
