I'm diametrically opposed from Ryan on most of his politics, but I respect him immensely, and I love having him on the show. There aren't many people in this space more generally knowledgeable than him.

If Clarence Thomas gets insider info and passes it on to his wife, then he and she could be charged with insider trading, if anyone had the cajones to go after anyone more important than Martha Stewart. Anyone who gets any information from anyone in the upper government, including those who were hired, not elected or appointed or married to (from anyone who has access to insider information and can pass it on) should be included.

@3:25 -- No, Ryan, the SCOTUS cannot simply strike down a law that specifically applies to themselves. The Constitution gives Congress pretty broad powers to regulate the courts.
