I’d be curious as to your opinion of Hendrix’s Villanova Junction, and how by 1970, he had evolved it.
Spotify and most services have the Live in Maui album, which has the best recording, of the evolved version.
Most streaming sites, only have the Woodstock one, and the People, Hell and Angels compilation.
It’s cool hearing the Woodstock version, then the way he played it about a year later in Maui.
I’d love to hear your analysis of the turnaround in that instrumental.
It’s a great example of how the blues isn’t as simple or limiting as many players believe.
