A Most Excellent coverage on the transmission cooling and Great tidbits of other useful info. I myself am going to use the stock '18 cooler in the stock location and use the stock lines with a Little modification. Using Stock '18 radiator and condenser also.

Do you know if there are any problems using a Gen 1 6R80 with a Gen 2 F150 5.0? Will I have to make any changes other than installing the internal thermostatic bypass? Will I have any ecu problems?
Thanks you guys are doing great work and great parts to help with coyote swap.

Kick tail info, Frank, and thanks for helping a “rookie” in the Coyote swap arena. I’m currently building a 92 Mustang fox body coupe, that I aim to make a solidly reliable driver. I’d really like to do your GenIII 10R80 crate package. What sort of trans tunnel clearance issues would there be? I have all of the Maximum Motorsports front swap components. Currently, the body is on a rotisserie, and the tunnel is the stock diameter. I’d like to use the stock shifter as well. Is the 10R80 too big for this setup and will this limit me to a GenII/6R80 package?

Thanks again, and was just wanting clarification before I line the underbody with Raptor Liner. I’m looking forward to placing a parts order with you guys that’ll make you weep!

Is there certain strategy codes or numbers that can be linked to having or not having the thermostatic spring?

Edit: great content as always 👌

Hey Frank, I just caught up with all of your previous livestreams. I hope to catch you live next week. Do you see the 6r80 ever being compatible with the gen 3 engine?
