HOW TO FIX A TECUMSEH ENGINE THAT RUNS AND QUITS

Tecumseh engines, especially the LEV series 6.25 and 6.75 were some very reliable, very tough engines, but they have one common problem that causes them to run and quit, i show how to fix that problem.

Thanks from down under ... my rotor tiller is now running again! ( of course, I spent an hour tearing the Carburetor apart, and putting it back together before I saw your video : )

THAT WAS IT! Can't believe it, spent 6 hours trying to get it running. Carb bowl was clean, spark plug was wet, gas lines all seemed unclogged and ok, gas was not old, etc. etc. etc. It ran perfectly as soon as I pulled off the carb bowl jet and stuck a twist tie through the 3 holes as shown in this video. It's funny, the carb bowl looked really clean, but I couldn't see through the horizontal hole in the jet. Poking it multiple times as well as the tiny hole and then down the center, I was able to make it so that all holes appeared clear. After putting it back together, the lawnmower fired right up with an easier pull than it has been in years. Great stuff!!

just bought a go cart buggy with 6hp Tecumseh thats doing this . Raining and dark out at the moment, but first light i'm looking for that side hole.
