Replace the carb bowl with the one off your adjustable carb. It'll give
you the dump valve you desire. Be sure to put the solid bowl nut back in not the adjustable one. Tom

Hello. Didnt they stop using two bolt adjusent because of some co2 emision or something? I have nikky carb with no adjustment in my 2008 murray. On idle it does not sound that great but under load sounds great.
On my trimmer i have only 1 adjustable bolt and it is a bit limmiting to set up how I want it... but I use what I have

I replaced the carb on my Tecumseh 5-hp engine. The engine would start only with starting fluid. I replaced it with a non-adjustable carb from Pro Chaser /Amazon The engine starts and runs fine until I put it under a load. It does not have enough power to run the auger and the drive. Do I need to replace the new carb with an adjustable one or what?

Nice video. Thanks. I was wondering if you know the name of a Tecumseh carb pieace. I have an older 2 cycle 1 stage Craftsman, and the carb has this gold color cup in front of the carb covering the butter fly. I need one and I don't know what it's called to look it up. It doesn't show on the parts diagram. Thanks.

I just bought a $14 carburetor off of Slammazon with the accessories and it’s adjustable like your old one!

I'm slightly struggling identifying the carb off my 10HP Tecumseh flathead Snow King motor on my old Troy-Bilt snowblower. Your vid is absolutely brilliant and showed me everything I wanted and needed. Well done and enjoyed the Scent of a Woman blast. LOL. Thanks very much. Regards, John from southern PA

I have a 2003 ariens blower with the Hssk 5 hp. I bought the king brand carburetor which has no adjustments. But either does the original carb. Ended up putting the original on but the fumes are bad. I know my spring adjustments are messed up as the governor doesn't give me enough rpm, but it gets the job done. Maybe I'll try the Chinese carb again. What about but a carb from a small engine dealer for around $70?

I took you up on your recommendation and bought one of these carbs... My snowblower now has two speeds, racing and off. If this is non-adjustable, what's the answer? I made sure the linkage was in the exact hole as the old one, but that said these replacements aren't 100 identical... Thanks for any suggestions that might help.

Do you have an idea who to get in contact with on how to get me a carb for an 70s snowblower? I do not have a parts manual. Is a Craftsman. Thanks.

Enjoyed your video. In the past several years I have bought 4 used snowblowers that have needed some TLC. The 3rd one was a craps man 8.5/26. Besides the auger problem, I had a issue with the carb having the evaporated gas residue. Took it apart and found that the float needle was sticking in the nylon seal seat. Unfortunately with my deep cleaning, I compromised the seat and I bought the Amazon Hooli carb which costs less than the rebuid kit as well as the tools required to replace the parts/seals. Now I'm working on #4, a Craftsman 9/28 and have I fixed the siezed auger blades on the shaft and installed bailer belt on the impeller blades that is corded material and cost only $7 for a 7" x 12" piece. Now moving on to my craftsman 9/28, 12" impeller that I will clean the carb and possibly R&R it with the Amazon carb if necessary if I can't get it cleaned up. I also make blower skid plate modifications on my blowers by replacing them with roller blade wheels that you can buy for cheap at garage sales. No skid plate adjustments or scraper blade replacement/adjustment, required!

Great video. I’m looking for a replacement carb for my Simplicity Snow King HSK70-130292T(H) late 1990s snowblower which I believe has the Tecumseh 632371A carb. I checked Amazon and saw a Hooai carb replacement for the 632371A but the description says “Not Compatible with 10% Ethanol Gas.” I guess I can’t use this. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks so much.

Love the hoodie where did it come from? Always have to show off the love of the 4.0. If you made it then I would love to see you sell them, there is no 4.0 appeal on the market.

That's why I get my gas from the Co-Op (Country Mark brand) here. It's non-ethanol. I don't even need to use fuel stabilizer in the off season because the gas is still good after sitting that long. I typically get the 92 octane.

I have a Troy-Bilt Horse rear tine tiller that was purchased the day I was born by my late grandfather. Ants destroyed the fuel system. Just had to scrap an old snowblower, scored an identical motor in decent shape with 115v start option. Wish me luck. I love being able to see a teardown or overhaul before I try it. Results in fewer extra fasteners. 👍

I have a 10 HP Ariens snowblower with the original carb. Would the new carb work on it ? It is a Tecumseh engine

I do like to have an adjustable carburetor. Though I can say that none adjustable carburetors do have their merit. There is also a reason that I prefer Edelbrock to Holly when it comes to a carburetor for a vehicle engine both are adjustable but tuning a holly is some kind of witchcraft that I don't know nothing about or very little at least. Now that I've written you a book I think both ways have their own merit. Have a good day my friend!

I picked up a old Sears alternator generator, think made by David Bradley, replaced fuel lines, added filter, no rust in tank, mabe made in late 60s. It ran for about 30 minutes like a top, I tried to adjust carb it cut off, and now won't start lol, leaking a little gas from carb. No labels on engine, I think is a 6hp tecumseh. Guess I will try a new carb.
