Very few reach deep inside me the way Greenie carried such sorrow and burdens and alchemized them into liquid gold for the ears....Thank you Greenie...love ya forever!

Soulful, lyrical blues playing, never over plays. One of the most tasteful guitarist of all time, sadly missed 🎶🌹

One can never go wrong when listening to Peter Green. Peter knows the roots of traditional american blues and mixes in styles from all the greats to keep him from being labeled a copy of any singular style. His tone and varied styles make him unique to the sixties British blues boom. Never one to copy note for note from the original. Live he is known for playing different versions of the same song, a true gift to white blues, or as noted by the american original blues guitarist that "he must be a white man turned inside out", a comment to express that in Peter's case you don't have to be black to play the blues. As often noted B.B. King commented that Peter had the sweetest ton he ever heard and was the best of the british blues players, keep in mind that B.B recorded LP's with Clapton and toured with many of the other notables british blues guitarist. Peter's Mayall LP was the best of the Bluesbreakers series including LP's featuring Clapton, Mick Taylor, Gary Moore and other notables (read the reviews). For this and much more he was known as The Green God!

Never heard this song by FM before. Mayall sang it on the Bluesbreakers with Peter Green 1967 show, but don't know this version. Thanks so much for posting this. B.B. King did this song, but any time you hear a PGs Fleetwood Mac song you've never heard before...

Sounds very much like Merry Go Round from their first album. 😉🎸

Sounds like Peter spent a long time listening to BB’s original version. He mimics the phrasing and octave leaps closely.

He sounds just like BB. The guitar playing and vocals are very similar.
