1 way to spot a REAL rolex. Go out in the sun and look at the dial. If you see a sucker on the reflection, you got a real one.

The only mechanically regulated watch on the market that is "sweeping" is the patented spring drive by seiko. Which regulate the spring unwind through an electromagnet to reduce the speed of the glide wheel. A technology much more complex and modern than what rolex does

Besides that glide wheel. All watches tick. It's a mechanical principal

if they look like they sweep completely smoothly rather than tick 8 times per second, go get your eyes checked.
Also, even the lowest end fakes have the same 8 per second beatrate of rolexes so this advice is useless.
Also, NO NORMAL PERSON WILL EVER NEED TO IDENTIFY A FAKE. If that EVER gets left up to you its because your dealers have failed you badly.

Just so I got this right. You can't tell by looking at the second hand if it is moving 5 beats or 8 beats per second, but you can tell that the cyclops lens is 2.5 magification?

As somebody who’s worked in an extremely high and jewelry store was an ambassador for Rolex and also GIA certified the only way to tell if a Rolex is authentic is to pull the back off and check the movement as well as a couple other things but that is the most solid way

Just buy a fake one and you don't have to worry about being fooled, also you will get the additional advantage of being a lot less expensive and by the way if you get the right one even experts can't tell the difference just by looking at it. You win everywhere, so don't waste your money and your time.

This knowledge was relevant 6 years ago, not now. Vsf and factory clean are around $600 and are 95% the same as real. Main difference is movement finishing.

I have many reps, but I have 1 Omega and 2 Rolex super clones. I don't care what anyone says, on the wrist, you can't tell. The Rolex Submariner and the Omega Seamaster 300M are next level good.

Actually the easiest way is to just bring the watch to a Authorised Rolex Service Center. Not a dealer or a jeweller but an actual service Center that’s operated by Rolex. Rolex has no boutiques but they do have service Centers. It’s a common known fact that Rolex don’t touch fakes and to touch a fake means acknowledging it to be on the level as a real Rolex, thus if ur Rolex is fake then they will tell u that’s it’s fake and ask u to leave.

All automatic watches tick… Rolex’s have an appearance of sweeping due to their beat frequency but it’s def not a perfect sweep and so you can still notice it tick. Only watch that visibly appears to Truely “sweep” is the gs spring drives

Guys who make modern superfakes should actually go legal and make their own watches for 500 USD as microbrands. They can make supreme watches at fraction of the Rolex price. I admire them.
