James Kerr, a serial entrepreneur, recognized a gap in the market for residential and commercial security and launched Boss Security Screens to address it. His vision extended beyond selling products—he aimed to provide peace of mind. Boss Security Screens specializes in installing military-grade window and door screens designed to protect against intruders.

In just six years, the company has completed over 15,000 installations, and its clients haven’t had a single home burglary. This remarkable success has propelled the business to nearly triple in revenue after each year of service, eventually leading James to generate an estimated $8M in annual revenue.

James, however, learned that rapidly growing a company comes with its own set of unique challenges. By taking a step back to evaluate how he wanted his company to grow, he adapted to investing in a strong foundational team so he could focus on how he could best serve each customer.

In this episode, discover how James started his business with funnel advertising, learn the stellar customer service tips that set his business apart, and learn how to hire the perfect team in order to scale your idea to seven figures, just like Boss Security Screens.

What good is a door when all our homes are filled with windows. I need all my windows covered with them being all my doors are glass 8' French doors. What a great idea Sir. I live in the woods and I am constantly having to keep bears away from me.

Stainless security screens have been a staple in home security here in Australia since the 80s. We have these on every second home. Yes they are hard to penetrate but there's nothing a grinder can't fix real quick.

I agree with everything except not focusing much time on sales people not closing as much. Take care of the ones selling the most but getting the entire sales team to that level should be off to importance. Giving them less attention and doubling down on the high volume closures is not good in my opinion.
