Idk why, but I keep coming back to this. Her smile is just so sad; she looks so tired cuz she knows she's gonna die without being able to make it up to her grandpa and Dylan. Plus, there's the fact that no one will know her fate.

But at least she can have this one relief first

Edit (spoiler warning): I also find it sad how Millie spends nearly the entire book wanting to die, and then when she does, she wants to live more than ever before. It's a shame she ended up dying in the book
