it works! I was actually looking for a function that would count the match value per row, i.e., how many a in a cell for the whole column and get a new column with the counts. I the split into list and count works for me.

Thanks for the explanation, so informative.
In my opinion, Power BI was promoted to the role of star, DAX to the role of Swiss Army knife, and the fundamental and structuring role of Power Query was completely neglected.

Hi, Thank you for your Awesome videos and simplified content always, helps a lot.
I am stuck and need your help with Slicer, I need to implement date slicer having option as a drop down which contains Year, Quarter, Month, Week, Day, Custom Filter ( this custom filter on click will open date slicer having option as “between” )! Or any other work around for this creating custom visuals or via measures. I am running out of options to think on it

I'm stuck in a situation that you can guide with. I have a comma separated list BUT I want to count items after name of my team appears. It can appear multiple times, but I need to start counting after it appears first time.
In this example, keyword is 'Pie'
Pasta, Apple Pie, Noodles, Rice, coffee. (Answer is 3)
Custard, Pizza, Apple Pie, Burger, Wings, Apple Pie, Coffee, Tea, Durritos. (Answer is 6)

excellent video. What if i wanted to keep in the cell only where the text is equal to apple. ex. apple, pear, orange. But only keep apple and remove everything else?

Hey, this was informative. I had a real-time scenario, hope i am able to explain it right. What if we need to find in a comma-separated text in a column that contains a text value from a list.
Imagine the situation of using tags for content. Content may have multiple tags and we need to categorize if the tag column contains any tag value from the lookup list. For now, i have achieved it using the if function, however, exploring to find a better way to do it.

thats cool. but is there any way how to count occurance of each fruint in another table. so one table would be yours A1Fruit and second table would be just Apple, Orange, Grape and number of occurance in first table?
