Irregular Letter Sound Combination: Ool/Ook

The "oo" pattern makes a unique sound. The sounds addressed in this video are the "oo" sound in ool words like: Cool, Fool, Pool, and Tool and "oo" sound that makes a "uk" sound in words like: Book, Cook, Hook, Look, Nook, and Took.

To practice the Ool and Ook Sounds there are stories for your child to read in the Practice Reading Book 3 that correlate with the Ool and Ook words addressed in the video (Practice Reading Book 3 Ook Pages: 76-80 Ool Pages 80-83).

For additional practice, there are printable Ool and Ook Flashcards. With these Flashcards your child builds various Ool and Ook Words (Non-Traditional Ool and Ook Flashcards).
