Have driven Saabs for 41 years. Currently own a 2001 Viggen convertible and 1991 900 turbo SPG. Wonderful cars.

I have two of these 2.1 NA 900's. They are tanks, they're so reliable. My '93 2.1 NA has taken me from Phoenix to Chicago, Chicago to Denver & back, Chicago to Boston & back. I've put over 10, 000 miles on it in two years. Like Brett, it has needed NOTHING. Love these heavily underrated cars.

I'm only watching due to having owned Saabs. I'm only alive due to how safe a Saab 9000 aero actually is, I flipped it multiple times, folded the car in half an walked out smiling😂.

I’d give almost anything to buy this car. I’ve had four of them (two 900s, a 9-3 SE convertible, and a 9-3 Viggen convertible, which was my dream car for decades). I only sold my Viggen because I live in an area in the south where I had literally one person who could work on it, and he was booked up all the time because he was in such high demand. I would have needed to tow it to Houston to get any sort of major work done on it by a Saab-specific mechanic. My 900s (a 1986, and a 1987) were easy to work on, and I could do it myself (I’m a female and I just got the Haynes manuals, which made it a piece of cake). The 9-3 SE convertible saved my life. I was rear-ended at a red light, and the vehicle hit me so hard that it pushed me into the truck ahead of me, and all of my airbags deployed. My passenger and I had some bumps and bruises, I had a sprained wrist, but we both were able to get out of the car and walk away without much issue, and we were both back at work the next day. Too bad my car was totaled, but it did its job and protected us from injury.

If this is an interesting car to you, and you live in a place that has a shop that can repair the car, or you’re willing to try it yourself, yes, I absolutely recommend giving an older Saab a look. They are really fun and quirky. If I didn’t live in New Orleans and need to trailer it hundreds of miles away to get any major work done on it, I’d still own my Viggen. It handled better than any car that I’ve ever driven (better than my current car, which is a 2023 Civic Type R).

Gorgeous 900 sedan. Love the roof racks, love the color. Just needs different wheels 😎😜

you have to hold your cell phone up in the air, at 75 mph, to air cool it. Why do you think they put a big sunroof in the car?
