The Egmont has always been my favorite of the Beethoven Overtures. Always deep and powerful music. I could listen to this over and over. Well done, indeed.

This really is the most exquisite piece of music I have ever heard. I don't know the red-haired woman to the left of the conductor, but I love her! The passion she plays with is absolutely appropriate for this overture.

Almost fifty yrs ago our high school, best in Canada, orchestra performed this piece. When I got the score I loved it so much I memorized the whole piece in one week. 2nd violin first deck.

So many movie scores "borrowed" from this. Literally never gets old.

Na minha humilde opinião essa foi a melhor interpretação de Egmont de Beethoven que ouvi na minha vida como maestro... Bravo o maestro, e estava belíssima a orquestra em sua execução bravo bravo!!!

How do they keep the violins, cellos, and other instruments warm enough to play? I remember how difficult it was for me to play my trombone in marching band in Nebraska many years ago. Well, this is a wonderful performance.
