STAGE 2: Fox Body Mustang Project Car by AmericanMuscle.com

For Stage 2 of Project Fox Body, it was time to take our Ford Mustang restoration to the next level! After getting the car back from paint, we headed straight for the problem areas, including the neglected convertible top, interior/dash and weatherstripping.

Can't wait to see stage 3 in the build! Hurry-up hahaha. I have been doing the performance mods first on my 1989 Mustang GT. I got it when I got out of the Army. Found my Fox body online, went to check it out and was hooked as soon as I started it and heard the 5.0L come to life. I also found out that the first owner was also in the Army and had it transported to the soldiers duty station in Germany. I thought it must have been fate because I was stationed in Germany B4 getting out of the Army

Wow, this is so awesome your page even lists all the parts you used! I've been driving fox body Mustangs since the 90's and recently bought a 1989 Mustang LX 5.0 convertible standard that I'm excited to restore. Thanks very much for this informative guide!

I love what you guys are doing here - a very good idea to do the never-made '93 Cobra Conv. Good call on ditching the smoked head lights, the OE style look better.

Looks like my complaints in the last stage were rectified(of course I'm sure many other posters felt the same as I). OE headlights & Cobra specific tail lights looks fantastic, the 10th ann. Terminator rims are a nice call(yes, 17" Cobra wheels, would look best, but these wheels look great too). I like the change to red, the car "pops" more.
Glad AM will convert to 4 wheel disc and looks like a Cobra intake is in the works(hopefully with cam/rocker/intake tract upgrades too). Sweet 'vert!
