STAGE 1: Fox Body Mustang Project Car by AmericanMuscle.com

Say hello to our new Project Car, our 1993 Mustang GT Convertible! We're bringing this 'vert back from neglect and transforming it into the car we always wished Ford would build; a 93 Cobra Convertible. Now, we wouldn't just throw Cobra badges on any Mustang, so you'll have to follow along the entire series of Stages to see what we have up our sleeves!

For the first stage of our build, this GT was in serious need of a tune-up! We wanted to get our GT running right, before we started working on the rest of the overhaul. The parts we installed for Stage 1 included:

After this much-needed maintenance, it was time to get Project Fox Body to the paint booth! We'll be giving this Mustang the full restoration treatment. We'll see you soon for Stage 2 of this 93 Ford Mustang project build.

I restored a 95 GTS, so I could watch the 94-98 bolt-ons videos to help, but it was a 4.6. Finally we have a 5.0 project on American Muscle, looks pretty awesome ! I can't wait to watch, part 2, 3 and 4 and many more. =)

I have never had a problem with that at all... in the last year or so I've bought Headers, H-pipe, Cat-Back, Eibach springs, and a couple other items, and everything was in stock and arrived quickly.

Almost the same but newer 5.0 has T-bird intake with dogleg, smaller water pump, and I think they have better piston then some early 5.0 with cast ones. Could be off on some info but basically same when it comes to power and mods.

Well wrecked my 87 convertible into a telephone pole not too long ago. No airbags in 87 and face hit hard on the steering wheel. Bent the steering wheel forward. Then went into the windshield. Lost a good friend that day (The Car). I was going 60 and definitely should not have walked away. Got right out like nothing even happened. When I first got the car I was I was 17. Car ran beautifully and didn't skip a beat. Had it running fine all day. Then after drinking I tried to start it up to go have some fun in it and not a thing. I am not at all into believing in ghosts or anything but I honestly felt like that car cared for me as much as I did for it.
