The funniest line in the movie is where Nick tells Meredith, “Honey, did I ever mention to you that Hallie was a twin.” And Hallie says, “Don’t feel bad, Mer - he never mentioned it to me, either.” LOL. 3:40

Very rare does a remake actually surpass the original. I grew up watching & love the original Hayley Mills classic but this remake completely beats it in every way

Did it ever occur anyone else that the latter half of this movie has the same plot as Twister? Seriously. Bill Paxton is Dennis Quaid, Helen Hunt is Natasha Richardson, Jamie Gertz (the sex therapist) is Elanie Hendrix (the wicked stopmom) and Lindsay Lohan is a terrifying force of nature, out to wreal havoc on the new woman in Quaid's/Paxton's life, forcing him to be with Hunt/Hendrix until everyone realizes who's really supposed to be together.

In BOTH versions, Mitch and Nick lied to Vicki and Meredith - they didn't have one daughter, they had twins! In a case like this, fiancees - including child-hating golddiggers - can only wonder whether or not any more secrets were being kept from them! I came to believe that Mitch and Nick were "waiting until the time was right" to tell them, but they should have told them when they first met!

How come the girls in this movie are called Annie and Hallie and not Sharon and Susan like in the original movie? And why do all the other characters have different names?
