The Supreme Court paused a deadline to return a Maryland man who was mistakenly deported to El Salvador.

"The Supreme Court on Monday temporarily paused a court-imposed midnight deadline to return to the US a Maryland man who was mistakenly deported to El Salvador, agreeing to a request from President Donald Trump that will give the justices more time to consider the case.

Chief Justice John Roberts granted the “administrative stay,” a move that will extend the deadline until the court hands down a more fulsome decision in the case of Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, who was deported on March 15."

He is NOT here legally. He entered ILLEGALLY and does NOT qualify for asylum because he waited 7 years to request asylum. Asylum has to be requested within 1 year. He had deportation orders from 2019. He just cannot be sent specifically to El Salvador. That’s the only error. HE HAS AN ACTIVE DEPORTATION! If he does not qualify to be an asylee, what happens to him in El Salvador is not my problem or my business. He can figure it TF out.

Garcia is a citizen of El Salvador and he’s in El Salvador. So as bad as deporting him to CECOT is, I just don’t see how a US judge can order El Salvador to release one of their citizens.

It seems it’s up to Bukele to decide.
