I got banned too. They sent me an email saying I have engaged in hate speech “and/or” engaged with a group that blah blah blah. Nothing clear about the infraction I was accused. I tried to appeal it several times but they just kept referring to the initial vague email notifying me of the ban. Never had a violation and can’t remember even arguing with anyone on there.

Someone I know got his Discord account permabanned for "promoting self deletion", when in fact he was raising awareness of it by chiming into a discussion of wrongful metoo accusation possibly having that result for affected men due to the mob mentality nowadays. The company in charge of Discord is disgusting.

Much as I hate suggesting government answers, this problem (and it's the same thing YT, FB, Twitter, and others do) needs a TX-style solution: No company can punish a user for violating ToS, "community guidelines", or any similar set of rules unless the company provides the user with exactly what content and what rule (all internal guidance on application of the rule must be included) comprise the violation; failure to abide by this opens the company to suit.

Force them to be transparent with their rules or be sued out of existence. If they want to have blatantly biased rules, fine, but make them do it in the open.
