Man I haven't even finished vol 2 of season 4. Once I saw everyone spoiling it and talking about Eddie dying, I said "Nope. This is gonna be like the finale of Buffy/Endgame all over again. Imma cry for hours."
Its always the character that has the best redemption and growth. That's my favorite trope. Where said character normally starts out as the villain, or either just a character that has no development, and aren't that investing. So, they take hours/episodes/seasons building their origin story, and slowly changing them into another protagonist, to the point you like them now. Then what do they do? THEY FUCKING KILL THEM OFF. Loki (Thor, The Avengers) and Spike ( Buffy the Vampire Slayer) are two of the best examples of this character trope I can think of. Eddie is just different cause he was never an actual villain. He just wasn't a favorite, YET. But the Duffer brothers made gd sure that the audience grew to love him, and they did an amazing job. 🖤

I think her sister 8, will have a huge role in trapping Vecna in The Upside Down and I think that there's more creatures in Russia too.
& now that the military is involved, it's not going to be that simple. They're always looking for a Super Soldier or something of the nature of being more than normal to neutralize in battle.

If this happens I'm gonna cry. We lose El, who knows if Max will move to Hawkins, Steve might still be a jerk, we might not have the iconic Steve and Robin duo.

Guys I also have a very nice theory. So we all know that vecna showed nancy future:dark clouds, Hawkins burning, many monsters(maybe army), a creacher with a gaping mouth. And we also know that Nancy Steve and Robin berned vecna. Now vecna needs a new body. (theory) what if the monster vecna showed nancy is vecna with his new body. It could be possibl, because two strong villains will be impossible to beat. So I thing the creature with gaping mouth is vecna with a new body. And we know that what vecna showed her is happening in real.

Honesty, this theory makes a lot of sense becuz in season 1, El got trapped in the upside down after fighting the demogorgon but she found a way out. The duffer brothers r basically rewriting events that already happened, but in similar situations. Here's some examples the duffer brothers r rewriting events. In season 1, we see Nancy & Steve at the party but Nancy drinks too much, eventually ending the relationship between them. Later on in the show, we see Nancy & Jonathan start dating, but in season 4 we see Jonathan has been smoking a lot. We've seen Jonathan go high cuz of the smoking, so there's a chance Nancy will noticed something is off about Jonathan, ask him what's going on, & eventually the relationship will end & Nancy will go back with Steve. Similar events, but different situations.

Another example of rewriting events but similar situations will be Barb & Nancy. In season 1, we see Barb & Nancy r best friends before Barb dies. In season 4, we see Nancy & Robin slowly becoming friends. It wouldn't make any sense y the duffer brothers wanted Robin & Nancy to be friends unless they have plotline for both of them.

Overall, this theory about El has 2 stay in the upside down to close the gates for good (& time traveling to 1983), makes a lot of sense. And if this theory is correct, this means every single person who has died, will be back alive. Barb, Bob, Alexi, Billy, Eddie, Chrissy, Dr. Brenner (unfortunately), & so on. ❤️🖤

This is what I think will happen

The upside down isn’t just stuck on the day will went missing, it’s also stuck on the day vecna got control over will. So keep that in mind wile I tell you my theory

I think will is gonna become vecnas “pupet” similar to how he did back in season 2 with will, and season 3 with billy. The reason I think will is gonna become a “puppet” is because he is close with eleven. And it will be much easier for vecna to get control over him. (and vecna feeds off trauma, and Will has a lot of that)
Not only that, but I think the upside down is stuck on the day will when’t missing because it’s an important day for vecna, aka the day he gets more “energy” from will.
So ya, that’s all.
(Ps. I think Steve is gonna die because he is stuck in a very vulnerable situation right now since so many people love him and the duffer brothers are known for killing off characters that everyone loves, and if he died I guess it would “solve” the problem with the love triangle that him and Nancy have going on)
