The Lore of Vox in Hazbin Hotel

In recent trailers we’ve seen a bunch of scenes featuring an overlord called vox. So who is he and what is his lore?

Well vox is one of the 3 v overlords in the pride ring. The latin word vox means voice, which is where he got his name from. He died in the 1950s and is in his 30s to 40s.

Vox is egotistical, charismatic and craves attention. His main rival is alastor. Vox can control electricity and can even travel through television monitors. He has his own range of products that all start with v. My two favourites being voxflix and v n v’s.

In the old instagram accounts he was shown to be in a relationship with valentino. Vivzie said that these accounts were non canon once they shut down. So as a result it remains to be seen if the pair will be a couple in the full series.

I definitely want Vox in the show and what his relationship with Val is like and maybe he gets along with Velvette as well. Plus I bet his rivalry with Alastor is going to be intense.😁😈🌃📺

I think its kind of wild that Viv did a total script flip on us, Everyone thought Val was gonna be the toxic abusive power control monster of their relatio ship, and Val IS still those things, but not to Vox, Vox is 100 percent in control of Val

Vox is a very cool and my favorite villain for this series. I think his character design looks very cool, mainly because he has a TV for his head and I also really like the lighting on him. His voice also sounds really amazing when I first heard it in the trailer and I cannot wait to see more of him in the full series! 🤩

HOWEVER, I do believe there was a tweet that kind of insinuated that they’d be together in the final series. It had some sneak peaks of a couple of characters. One of them being of Vox and Valentino.

Vox and Alastor are obviously rivals given what we have seen and their opposing abilities; but people don’t notice certain things about the two, like recently I’ve noticed that their names match up with the term A/V pretty well (Audio and Video) and I think this should be recognized a little more.

Tbh I thought his name was “video box” (which is essentially what a television is) just shortened to “Vox” but I didn’t know it was a Spanish word, neat

Vox will be interesting to see in the show. It's funny how his name means voice, but he's the television overlord and not the radio demon.
