Very nice pair, suit you well. Agree they Aviators are common but there are such a number of different colourways you can still be different and the colour range make them ideal for complementing an outfit.

I have a pair of Aviators, They are Bausch & Lomb, White Ray Ban Etch (So it's after 1982) BL etched on the lens and BL on the nose stem, B&L Ray Ban U.S.A

I've done heaps of research and can find nothing, I can find gold frames but not chrome frames

What’s your take on the Aviation Collection Aviator? Based on the appearance, it does capture the look of the 30’s and 40’s aviator well, but just wondering if it’s only cosmetic differences or were there also differences in the build.

How are these while driving. I find my Wayfarer and Frogskins frame makes it hard to switch lanes. The frames kind of block sight while looking over the shoulder and behind.

You can't improve on a classic. With these shades you can be anything, anyone - fighter pilot, international playboy, President for Life of an oil state, the list goes on.

Ray-Ban design is timeless and I really like it, but its quality went downhill after being acquired by Luxottica. The company profits on the BL Ray-Ban aura. I even tried buying another pair, made in another factory, and also visited Ray-Ban shops in different countries (Portugal, Japan, Brazil, Hong Kong, USA). It's all the same. You can feel the lower quality when you touch it even when it's brand new. One of my pairs had evident issues right out of the box in the first week and they took over a month to give me a new pair. The factory insisted there was no issue and I had to argue over that to finally get a new pair. The paint of my black aviators started chipping shortly after a year and Ray-Ban didn't care to solve this problem. They offered to fix it by charging nearly the price of a new pair. Then, they gave me a list of dos and donts on how to keep my sunglasses. I don't misuse them, but Ray-Ban could just replace that list by saying: don't wear them at all; keep them in the box and they'll last. Definitely not worth their price. You need to see and touch the old Ray-Ban to see how different they are now.

I got a pair of classic aviators from Lens Crafters (no prescription lenses) a couple years back and they don't have the etched RB on the lens. Is that something they added recently?
