Wish I'd known this years ago. I knew it went out when you cranked it up but I never tried it with a wok on top. Now I've moved away from home and I'm all electric.

That will only work on newer stoves. Mine is older, you can't take apart the burner like that.

Sadly, my stove doesn't let you take the top off because its too old, but it's a great idea
