I have watched at least 50 videos, and this one was perfect, explains everything clearly, shows everything and how to do, no annoying background music or distractions, no tricks, just clear, precise, well layed out explanation. Thank you.

I have tried ALL the methods to revive lead acid batteries over the last 55 years! Some of them helped a little most of them turned the battery into junk! I tried this method on my 3 year old motorcycle battery that lost two cells??? don't know why?? I always charge the battery on a tender for a week when removed in the fall and recharge again in the spring for a week prior to going back into service. I have yard equipment batteries that are 12-15 years old and continue to work like new! When I removed the "do not remove" cap string on the battery, I noticed it was bone dry! I took this procedure 1 step further and added batt acid to just cover the plates. The cells took between 20-30 cc's of acid each!! I used a 2 Amp charger, the start voltage was 10.50 V it stayed there for 3-4 hrs. when I had looked at the meter again the voltage was now 11.75 V it was a steady reading. 4-5 hrs later to my pleasant surprise it showed 13.05 Volts! Over night next morning I had 15.88V. I will tenter charge for a week and check the open ckt voltage after 24 hrs. $11.00 for acid to save a $150.00 battery!
Thanks for sharing something that actually WORKS!!

What a great video. This should win an award and YouTube creators should reference it as exactly how to convey information effectively. Thanks and good job.

Thank you very much for this. You are the first guy on YouTube that I have seen to come up with real science to charge an old battery.

I am a Retired Avionics Tech. I forgot more than I learned about Electronics these days. But seriously you have expertly explained the method to keep batteries going and going. You expertly put the correct information that is needed. Now if I can ONLY figure out how to revive an AGM Lead Battery now, LOL The many fires and being not good for Cold Climates without a heat source for them, that the Lithium's are famous for, has led me back to Lead, LOL

Video recording was good, non of that stupid moving camera everywhere. Explanation was good, content was great. You actually did a capacity test and a load test. Great video. I gave you a thumbs up

Hi, When I was gainfully employed, I maintained emergency services radio communication systems in the Highlands of Scotland. Some remote installations employed 12 and 24v dc solar/wind systems... Here are some tips I learnt the hard way! (when your up a gum tree without a paddle)
Most service techs carried a variable 24 volt 10amp bench power supply in their vehicles... When we found a dud 12 v battery that would not charge (open circuit)we would dismantled it as shown in the video... With a multimeter connected to the neg terminal.. the positive meter terminal was connected to a thin screwdriver ..the screwdriver was pushed gently into each hole to touching the cell plates, that should measure around 2volts then the next hole 4 volts and so on... increasing by approx 2 volts each time eventually you will find an open circuit cell (probably dry) top up with distilled water and let it soak for an hour ...Now replace the multi meter with the bench power supply and carry out the same process watching the current meter and adjusting the voltage to find the faulty cell causing the open circuit...Eventually current will flow between the positive and negative terminals...Now connect the variable power supply with a car headlamp bulb in series to limit the current ...Now crank it up to 24volts whilst watching the current meter gradually reducing the voltage to keep the current at around 2amps...Now charge the entire battery at 13.8 volts for a few hours (after topping up all the cells with distilled water) ... Finally replace the rubber caps and cover with a strip of gaffer tape...
At the next planned visit we would normally exchange the battery..
PS always wear safety glasses when doing this work!

It worked! I'd had all but given up on an old following these steps brought it back to life. I added more electrolyte as it charged - the amps went from 0.00 to 0.01 the next morning before I knew it, the thing was holding 12v. Thanks
