This isn't even the first time I saw a goof-up like this in regards to song contests. At the end of the second episode of American Song Contest 2022 when the hosts were to announce the jury qualifier, they opened the envelope assigned to them, but everyone watching knew before the hosts announced it that Kentucky got the spot (because again, it was on the back of the card).
