Don't care how many times I have seen an episode, I can still sit through it again, and actually laugh again...even knowing what is going to happen..love it!

The first 5 seasons in B/W are, by FAR, the best episodes. After Barney left, it just wasn't the same.

I watch Andy Griffith on TV Land from 1 to 5 every day. It's a great show to watch instead of the other junk that's on TV.

Growing up I thought Mayberry was just like the town's around where my Grandparents lived in Southern Missouri. The people all knew each other and their families, helped each other and cared. Not like today where folks don't want to get " Involved" I miss those days .

I used to watch that show a lot several years ago. Andy Griffith passed away several years ago with an awesome career he had as an actor.

Barney getting Andy to ride in the motorcycle side car. I can't even think of about that episode without literally chuckling out loud

My dad was a cop so naturally we watched Andy Griffinth. It was a long time family joke that we called my dad Barney. I can remember on Friday nights when I was about 8 or 9, my dad would come home with pizza and these giant cokes and we’d sit and watch the show. Good times

I think Otis the town drunk should get a lot more credit. There was nothing funnier than when Otis had run ins with Barney. Otis played the most believable drunk that ever was on character was perfect and hilarious.

There were a few episodes when Barney was napping and Andy played a trick on him.
Once he took his shoes and hid them in the desk drawer.
Another was when he exchanged hats with him
A third was his best. As Barney slept, Andy covered him up with a blanket and tucked the ends under the legs of the cot.
When he woke Barney up he couldn't move but finally managed to get out!

I was born in 1986 but I grew up watching Andy Griffith, The Waltons, Bonanza, Gunsmoke, The Twilight Zone, The Three Stooges and Alfred Hitchcock.. My dad grew up watching them with his dad in the 60's and 70's and then my little brother and I grew up watching them with him. I guess I'll keep it going if my wife ever spits out any youngens lol... And wow... I just looked it up and did the math - Andy Griffith was the same age I am now when the Andy Griffith show first aired (34).... I find that strange for some reason.
