'Government shutdowns are in GOP DNA'

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries slammed Republicans over their shutdown threats, noting the numerous times the GOP has shut down the government in the last 3 decades in order to force their "extreme, right-wing ideology" on the American people.

Please explain how you pay an educator pennies but pay these politicians hundreds of thousands of dollars and most aren't even knowledgeable of the Constitution. They should get a teacher's salary but most are NOT even worthy of those pennies. And when the government shuts down they don't get paid and still need to report to work. All of these session breaks need to end. ONLY Give them Christmas and Thanksgiving. The rest of the time they need to be present and accounted for in Washington, DC.

Make it a law that after gov't shutdowns, politicians pay is cut for 3x the amount of days. Shutdowns will NEVER happen again. You're welcome.
Edit: I've been corrected. Politicians are after POWER, money is easy. So we should push for term limit reductions!
