Government shutdown averted, budget deal reached in Congress

Congress reached a funding deal Sunday that would avert a possible partial government shutdown and fund federal agencies for about another three months. The new budget year begins Oct. 1, and the spending approved this weekend would extend funding into mid-December. Maryland Republican Rep. Andy Harris joined On The Hill to talk about the budget and his new role as Chair of the Freedom Caucus.

Why can’t the “journalist” point out that it’s already illegal for non-citizens to vote and there is an almost-zero chance of someone here illegally putting their name on a state, federal and local government list saying “Here’s my name, home address and a felony I committed to influence the election by one vote.”
