Our Secret Burden: Amplifying the Voices of Fibroid Sufferers - Full Townhall Event

The White Dress Project and Morehouse School of Medicine partnered to host a virtual discussion January 13, 2021 from 6 - 8 p.m. EST entitled, “Our Secret Burden: Demystifying Myths, Understanding Treatment Options and Amplifying the Voices of Fibroid Sufferers.”

There are pervasive misconceptions and myths about fibroids that create stigma and shame that often cause those struggling with the condition to suffer in silence.

This virtual event helped highlight the treatment options available, explore the daily challenges that fibroid sufferers face and to amplify their voices by demystifying the myths that surround this condition.

The event opened with special remarks from Dr. Valerie Montgomery Rice, President of Morehouse School of Medicine.
